     Succinate, one of the key substances involved in metabolism, is an intermediary of the Krebs cycle, which is one of our main source of energy.      Malic acid (malate) plays the pivotal role in mitochondrial membrane integrity, and in generating mitochondrial ATP both under aerobic and hypoxic conditions. Malate is capable to remove cytosolic reducing equivalents, thereby reversing inhibition of glycolysis and has carbohydrate and oxygen-sparing effects. The combination of both succinate and malic acid repeatedly surpass the effects that they have separately.
     The amino acid glycine takes part in the transmission of nervous impulses and protects from psychoemotional overload after the intake of alcohol.
